故事設定在1993年，昔日並肩作戰卻早已分道揚鑣的街頭格鬥家隆（安德魯光司 飾）與肯麥司特（諾亞森迪尼奧 飾），因為受到一名神秘女子春麗（卡莉娜梁 飾）的招募，再度參加下一屆世界戰士格鬥大會，這是一場拳頭、命運與怒火碰撞的殘酷對決。但是在這場生死大決鬥的背後，潛藏著一個致命陰謀，迫使他們不得不正面交鋒，並且面對各自過去的心魔。如果他們無法克服這一切，那就會GAME OVER遊戲結束！
【快打旋風】由導演櫻井北尾執導，並且把這個街機遊戲系列中經典的格鬥動作，從波動拳到後旋踢，以及所有玩家最熟悉的角色搬上大銀幕。
