Petarung Road to UFC dan mantan kontestan Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS), Aaron Tau, mungkin saja baru kehilangan kesempatan terakhirnya untuk masuk ke UFC.
Tau adalah petarung terakhir yang melakukan penimbangan pada acara UFC 325 dan ia meminta untuk menggunakan kotak. Saat berdiri di atas timbangan, ia meletakkan sikunya di atas kotak tersebut dalam upaya mengurangi berat badannya.
Awalnya, beratnya tercatat sekitar 55,3 kg, sekitar 1,8 kg di bawah batas kelas Flyweight. Namun, komisi kemudian turun tangan dan memerintahkan penimbangan ulang. Pada penimbangan kedua, berat Tau ternyata sekitar 58,5 kg, yaitu sekitar 1,8 kg di atas batas kelas Flyweight.
Akibat kejadian tersebut, pertandingannya di UFC 325 akhirnya dibatalkan.
