“The Grin Behind The Cage” is our tribute to rookie goaltender Jakub Dobeš and the mindset it takes to survive under the brightest lights in hockey.
Pressure. Chaos. Noise. Aggression.
Some players get crushed by it.
Some players come alive in it.
This song was built around that image of Dobeš grinning behind the mask while the whole arena loses its mind around him. A young goalie walking into playoff hockey unfazed, feeding off the pressure, chirping back, protecting his crease, and growing stronger every round.
