Turkish man Ibrahim Yücel became famous for one of the most unusual ways anyone has ever tried to quit smoking. So Yücel came up with an idea that was extreme but clever. He built a metal cage that fit over his head in such a way that a cigarette could not fit through the wires. The cage was inspired by motorcycle helmets, and he made sure it was strong and secure. To make sure he could not cheat, he handed the only key to his wife and only allowed it to be opened during mealtime. This meant he could eat and drink, but there was no way to light a cigarette.
